About

E. Foxe Harrell

Founded officially in 1989 by Sam Gassman, E. Foxe Harrell (named after Elizabeth Foxe Harrell, Gassman’s great-grandmother) began as an antiques business specializing in historic jewelry and decorative arts. Today, under the direction of Gassman and Lee Masterson, the gallery has grown into a broader practice that places art and art history at its center, expanding into contemporary work since 2020. Based in New York City with a current space in Hell’s Kitchen, the gallery focuses on presenting work at fairs throughout the year. Drawing on decades of experience with objects of high craftsmanship and provenance, we approach all art with the same eye for quality, authenticity, and lasting value.

We have exhibited at fairs across the United States and Europe, including longtime staples such as the New York Jewelry and Object Show and the New York Jewelry and Watch Show at the Metropolitan Pavilion, as well as Brimfield in Massachusetts. Our fair history also spans Miami Beach, Baltimore, Las Vegas, Chicago, Los Angeles, Leipzig, and many other cities. In 2024, we partnered with P.A.D. Gallery to present a booth at NADA New York, an expansion in our contemporary work. Across every venue, we connect collectors with works from many eras, from historic adornment to the art of our own time.
